First of all, don't even think of having you, your kids, or anyone else you know try this. Having said that, a Frenchman found a very cheap and relatively fast way to commute- by being towed by a commuter train, something highly dangerous and quite stupid.

While the outcome of the man getting a hitch isn't clearly know, hopefully he's okay. If he commuted this way every morning, he'd probably end up saving thousands of dollars every year- not having a car and not paying to ride the train- clearly not recommended.

What's hilarious here is that the train continues (perhaps it is one of those that isn't operated by a human but rather remotely controlled) on without incident for the duration of the video.

What he lacks in brains is more than made up for in guts. Let's hope those guts don't end up all over the RR tracks.

As fast as those trains go that is a really stupid thing to do. Just because it is in France doesn't mean it is a Frenchman on that sled. It could be a nut from anywhere.

Well, I am really too old to do anything like that but you have to be impressed by his innovative way of getting about. My wife has been to France and tells me those trains really move along at a rapid clip. She says she watched cars on the highway alongside the train appearing to go backwards as they whizzed by on their train. They are also very comfortable she says. Makes the trips between important cities just a snap and it takes a lot less time than going by air!!!!

we used to hang onto car bumpers back in the 50's while they drove around our town square - brick streets - and with slick bottomed boots you could slide all over town being pulled by the car. this however seems like, wow if he hit a dry patch with no snow, uffda

This is a good way to end up in a hospital. The Railroad will soon get wise & put a stop to free rides.

While creative and responding to the global warming fraud, this is an example we often see when the Darwin award is presented.
