It'as BP's glitch and we are paying for it. That should come from their profits and the cost of doing business. Our gas prices went up 15 cents this morning. I'm sure it will be higher this afternoon.

Demand is still low. Price per barrel is still relatively low.
Hmmm.

If WE caused the glitch, I would agree the price should reflect the mistake... However, BP is responsible for the glitch, they should be eating the cost!

Big Oil will raise fuel prices if they want to and/or will have a refinery undergo 'unplanned maintenance' if they want to. There is almost nothing you can do, Big oil will maintain its profits without regard to your well being or your possible economic problems. Making your own Bio Diesel by using Waste Vegetable Oil (WVO) from local restaurants may be an option, if you can get that waste oil to process, there maybe some local demand for it. Whatever the size or shape of the vehicle, Produce and ‘Drive’ vehicles with high MPG, are very safe, reliable, have a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money. Consider using other forms of less expensive transportation to lower your cost. The price of fuel at the pump is too high! 12/22/2012

Obama's goal is for gas prices to hit $5 per gal. I guess in that respect we can be somewhat relieved for $3.50.

when refineries are running @ greater than 98% efficiency (because the EPA won't let refiners expand/buidl new ones), any little fire/glitch causing a shutdown will cause price increases!

I think its funny that they raise prices by 10 to 20 cents at a time but only decrease it by 1 or 2 cents at a time. If it was more consistent it probably owuldnt have so much uproar associated with the increase.
