You're welcome. I report diesel prices any time I see them.

by Gastronomic  Jun 07, 2013

OK, I'll check it if I'm by there, but I don't get down that way very often.

by Gastronomic  Jun 06, 2013

I don't think the Kroger at Merriman has diesel.

by bordercolliemom  Mar 25, 2013

Yes - was just there at lunch time. It also matches a couple of other stations in Monroe - Pilot and BP near the expressway

The B2 nozzle I used was intended for big rigs, but I'm sure cars that don't have the restrictor thing in the filler tube could be filled there. It is definitely bigger than the unleaded nozzles, about a quarter inch wider. I'll look at the other CountryMark stations and see if all their Diesel nozzles are the same. I think most or all of their grades of on-road diesel are advertised as premium.

I see you live in Canton. About a year ago I was just around the corner in Milan to recover a car for a friend who had a transmission break down.

Well, CountryMark B2 soy is a no go. They don't have smaller pump nozzles for cars, just the big hi-flow nozzles. I did fill up there once, but it took about 15 minutes! Never again. So I'm comparing other brands of diesel. I will be adding PS into every tank. I have PS grey for most of the year (stronger cetane boost than white) and I'll keep a smaller bottle of PS white for the cold snaps and for travelling. With the car garaged at night, I've had no starting issues yet... and maybe it's my imagination but it seems like cold starts are already slightly quicker now with the first tank that I added PS! Do you think I need to be worried about gelling as long as I drive locally? What is your experience with premium vs. cheapo diesel?

by diyEthic  Feb 18, 2013

Thanks, I'll try the additive and compare it with Countrymark B2.

Ok, curious on the yellow can. I have a green one for spare, but I don't leave much in there. What else do you do with a spare??

by tdioiler  Jan 24, 2013

Hope your staying warm! I'm going to try the white bottle with some of the fills. The 911 is for emergency only as it is really powerful. Always worry about putting too much in. I'm in Southfield, but work in Taylor. Seems like diesel is cheaper in your neck of the woods.
