Or better yet, since I doubt you are working for nothing, put your own money towards education. Write a check. Come on it's no harder than asking for other people's tax dollars to cover your dreams.

More development is needed, including better batteries and a battery-exchange program instead of slow recharging stations. Battery exchange could be done in the time it takes to pump gas. And they make no sense unless the electricity comes from solar or other renewable source. What’s the point of burning coal to drive your car?

Not soon if ever. EV's are not practical. They work but fall short compared to fuels.
