Gas prices continue to swing

WAFB9 -- BATON ROUGE, LA (AP) -

It seems like the days when gas was under three dollars came and went in a flash. The lower prices only lasted about a week.

Although gassing up isn't as high as it was last summer, drivers around Baton Rouge say enough is enough.

“What I noticed is they've gone up a whole lot faster than they went down for the most part,” said John O’Brien, a driver in Baton Rouge.

In just one week, the average price of a gallon of gas in Louisiana jumped by nearly seven cents per gallon. The hike is apparent in Baton Rouge. Where we saw prices at $2.99 then is $3.15 now. Nationally, averages have only spiked about three cents in the last week. Still, Don Redman with AAA, says we are far from what we paid at the pump last summer.

The trend is always up and higher fuel prices at the pump, Barry has taken care of that. The price at the pump needs to go down to $2/gallon, $3 to $3.50/gallon is Not the new low! Lower fuel prices, the better the economy and the more jobs there will be. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out. It's the same old song and dance that's been playing for a long time now. Whatever the size or shape of the vehicle, Produce and ‘Drive’ vehicles with high MPG, are very safe, reliable, have a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money. Consider using other forms of less expensive transportation to lower your cost. The price of fuel at the pump is too high! 12/22/2012!
