Group enters natural gas export debate to nudge administration

The Hill -- An outside group is entering the debate on whether the Obama administration should allow natural gas exports with a call to restart the regulatory process.

The Center for Liquefied Natural Gas (CLNG) launched a website and public awareness initiative Monday to provide policymakers and the public with aggregated data on natural gas.

The group’s message is that exporting liquefied natural gas (LNG) would bring billions of dollars in investment and thousands of jobs that would outweigh any price increases that might result, Bill Cooper, the group’s president, told The Hill.

But that cannot happen until the Obama administration moves forward on several export permit applications, Cooper said. He said the administration should approve licenses to export with all countries, rather than just t

Obama should worry about supporting the use of Natural Gas in vehicles in America. The automotive industry should be supporting the general public by building then here or importing the vehicles that they produce for use in Europe and the Mid East. That would use the Natural Gas and help with the balance of payments. It would also help the American people with more economical fuel.

we need to use more LNG here instead of pushing more CNG. If any is exported it should be only allowed if we produce more than can be used here with a buffer supply kept here to ensure reasonable prices.

It is one of our last natural resources that cannot now be exported. When that happens the prices go up and to the highest bidder. Keep it at home for now in the US and Canada, and make use of it to replace oil.

Lets nudge the administration out of office in two weeks - then argue about whether or not the election was stolen.

First LNG is cheap for consumers. Exporting is said to raise cost for US consumer adding to the financial pressures on our citizenship.
