We could bring the price down further if everyone would install a waste digester in their homes. Free gas!!!

Demanding lower prices is exactly what is putting small business out of business. The big-box boys can cut prices and make it up in volume, but the little guy just can't make it.

The same will happen to natural gas prices if demand for CNG vehicles gets too high.

It's pretty shameful of oil companies to take advantage of people --
(from the article) -- "“Retailers take advantage of loyalty in customers, especially the elderly. Prices are falling for propane--and those who ask, receive”."
How bad is it when customers have to literally demand lower price?! --Especially when the prices should have been lowered in the first place!! Nasty GREED, that's all.

The consumers could also buy stock in natural gas companies and get on the supply side of the equation.

It is 109.9c/l in Ottawa suburbs, almost like regular gas.

My propane prices are dropping dramatically. A week ago it was $1.98. Now it's $1.88. My propane guy told me to wait 'til August when it will be close to $1.00. We live in the mountains of Squaw Valley and propane is the only thing we use. Can't afford the electricity that PG&E charges.

Somehow the lower price for wholesale does not make the retail end and I am buying less and less of the stuff and converting to natural gas.

Propane is a lot more expensive than natural gas, but it is more energy dense also.

Voluntary collective bargaining is a good thing. Ask... and sometimes you will receive something. Don't ask... and you get nothing.
